How can we effectively react to hate and discrimination? How to prepare a social campaign emphasizing human rights issues on a shoestring budget? Who would be the easiest and who would be the hardest to get through to and convince? Are hate and discrimination controversial subjects? How to look for allies and partners for the campaign?
We would like to invite you to a meeting with Humanity in Action Poland fellows on Tuesday, 23rd of June at 4pm in Faktyczny Dom Kultury (Gałczyńskiego 12, Warsaw)
Young activists from Poland, Germany, Ukraine and USA joined their forces and, as a part of the “Ideas Incubator: Transformation, Democracy and Human Rights” projects, they have been exploring the problem of hate and discrimination in Poland. Currently, working in 8 international teams, they are testing their ideas and planning new strategies of dealing with the virus of hate on the Internet.
On the 23rd of June, the fellows will share their most interesting insights, as well as present attention-grabbing short movies and memes they have created. Moreover, they will tell how to react to the virus of hate in a creative and constructive manner.
The event “8 ideas for a social campaign” will take place on Tuesday, 23rd of June (4-6pm, Faktyczny Dom Kultury, Gałczyńskiego 12, Warsaw) in cooperation with Polis Young Journalists’ Association Poland, as a part of a Council of Europe “No Hate” campaign.
You can follow the event on Twitter (#hiapl15). The meeting will be held in English. The entrance is free.
